1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Questscape, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Questscape.
3. What Questscape is
Questscape is a location-based mobile game, currently in closed beta. Features, availability, and functionality may change, and the service may be interrupted or discontinued at this stage without the guarantees you'd expect from a finished product.
4. Your account
You sign in via Google. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that happens under it. One account per person.
5. Location services are required
Core gameplay depends on precise, including background, location access. If you deny or revoke this permission, parts or all of the game may not function. This isn't optional functionality — it's how the game works.
6. Your content
If you upload an avatar or share other information, you keep ownership of it, but grant us the license needed to store and display it back to you and (where relevant, e.g. other players seeing your avatar) to other users within the app.
7. Acceptable use
Don't: reverse-engineer the app beyond what law allows, interfere with other players, attempt to spoof your GPS location to gain unfair advantage, or use the service for anything illegal.
8. Beta status / "as-is"
Because this is a closed beta, the service is provided as-is, without warranties of uptime, fitness for a particular purpose, or that it will be error-free. Use it knowing things may break, change, or reset.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Questscape is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time via id.questscape.app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany — chosen based on genuine connection: both founders are German, and hosting is in Frankfurt.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product evolves out of beta; material changes will be communicated to active users.
